Key responsibilities include justifying, planning, coordinating, and delivering custom silicon products. You will be instrumental in generating detailed task lists, constructing project timelines, and collaborating with teams to bring plans to fruition. This role involves leading the development of data-driven schedules and milestones, diligently tracking progress, anticipating potential future challenges, and devising mitigation strategies with multiple team leaders.
Further duties encompass driving discussions on technical, budgetary, and schedule trade-offs among cross-functional teams. You will also be responsible for managing project execution and resolving issues as they emerge throughout the lifecycle of silicon and hardware products, from design and development through testing, manufacturing, deployment, and ongoing support.
Essential qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 5 years in program management is required, along with experience in architecture, design, verification, implementation, or validation across at least 7 chip development cycles. Proven experience in managing technical cross-functional projects is also a must.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Engineering or a related field, and 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience as an engineer or manager in developing hardware or software systems around chips, and familiarity with two or more chip cycles in a project management capacity with execution under resource and schedule constraints, are highly valued. Knowledge of data center and cloud markets, technological and business trends, requirements, and ecosystem partners, coupled with excellent communication and facilitation skills, would be beneficial.
