You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to meticulously plan requirements, proactively identify potential risks, and diligently manage project timelines. The ML Data organization, established in early 2024, is dedicated to advancing ML data operations, governance, and responsible practices throughout Google. Our teams work in tandem with prominent groups such as Cloud, Core, Google DeepMind, Google Research, gTech, Knowledge and Information (K&I), and Labs. With the increasing reliance on larger models for Google's success, ML development is becoming profoundly data-centric. Our teams have been instrumental in the critical development paths for all recent and upcoming LLM launches, including Bard, Gemini, Magi, and Cloud.
Lead program execution for critical initiatives focused on tamper-proof lineage, transparent approvals, and secure data storage. You may also spearhead programs related to safety risk evaluation and data acquisition.
Collaborate extensively with engineering, product management, and other key partners to precisely define all workstreams, requirements, schedules, resource allocation, and project milestones.
Communicate project status updates clearly and effectively to a diverse range of audiences, including cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
Drive feature planning processes, fostering cohesion and alignment among all stakeholders to ensure strategic objectives are met.
Exhibit strong technical leadership, applying your expertise and thought leadership to continually enhance project efficiency and innovation.
A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience is required. We also look for a minimum of 5 years of experience in program management.
Preferred qualifications include 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience with large-scale data management is highly beneficial. Familiarity with quantitative analysis and cost-effectiveness assessment techniques is also valued.
Additionally, a strong understanding of AI model training, testing, evaluation, and tuning processes, along with knowledge of data quality metrics and KPIs for AI products, will set candidates apart.
