Shape the future of global connectivity as a Technical Program Manager specializing in Network Infrastructure. The Global Network Acquisition (GNA) APAC team is at the forefront of planning, designing, and scaling Google's production networks across Asia. We are dedicated to ensuring our network infrastructure robustly supports the expansion of all existing and new products and services within the region, efficiently and on schedule.

Our mandate extends to securing and developing essential network infrastructure, encompassing colocation spaces, metropolitan fiber networks, long-haul routes, and submarine capacity and cables, across numerous Asian countries. This role is integral to Google Cloud's mission of empowering organizations through digital transformation, leveraging Google's advanced technology to build sustainable solutions for customers worldwide.

Drive strategic and tactical initiatives to meet Google's evolving network infrastructure demands for expansion and cost optimization throughout Asia, in collaboration with internal business units and cross-functional networking technical teams.

Present comprehensive network plans to secure approval from all internal stakeholders. The scope of planning will vary, from short-term metro upgrades to long-range, region-wide strategies for Google's network in Asia.

Oversee the execution of approved network plans, coordinating with internal contributors such as network negotiators and vendor delivery managers to ensure timely delivery of critical infrastructure.

Partner with cross-functional teams to refine and enhance business processes, fostering automation, reducing lead times, and effectively managing changes. Maintain transparent internal communication and collaborate closely with network deployment and other technical groups.

Engage with network negotiators in the planning and execution of orders and contracts, and actively participate in vendor meetings and industry conferences.

A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in program management is essential.

Demonstrated strength in program management within the networking domain, including experience with delivering infrastructure assets and managing vendors, is highly valued.

Solid understanding of fiber optic systems and submarine cable ecosystems, coupled with a working knowledge of Asian and global carrier networks, is beneficial.

The ability to apply business and technical acumen to advance the organization's long-term objectives is crucial. Strong problem-solving and financial management skills, alongside a data-driven, analytical approach to complex challenges, are expected. Proficiency in navigating ambiguity, identifying optimization opportunities, and possessing robust problem-solving capabilities are key attributes for this role.
