Join our Global Network Acquisition (GNA) APAC team, responsible for the strategic planning, design, acquisition, and scaling of Google's production networks across Asia. We ensure our network infrastructure can efficiently support the rapid growth of Google's existing and new products and services. This involves securing and developing critical network assets, including colocation spaces, metro fiber, long-haul networks, and submarine capacity, spanning multiple countries throughout Asia.

Collaborate with internal business units and cross-functional networking teams to define and execute tactical and strategic initiatives for Google's network infrastructure in Asia, focusing on expansion and cost optimization.

Present comprehensive network plans to internal stakeholders for approval, managing projects that range from short-term metro upgrades to extensive region-wide strategies.

Oversee the execution of approved network plans, coordinating with internal contributors like network negotiators and vendor delivery managers to ensure timely infrastructure deployment.

Partner with cross-functional teams to refine business processes, enabling automation, reducing lead times, and effectively managing changes. Communicate progress internally and collaborate closely with network deployment and other technical teams.

Work alongside network negotiators in planning and executing orders and contracts, actively participating in vendor meetings and industry conferences.

A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience is required, alongside a minimum of 5 years in program management.

Preferred qualifications include strong program management experience specifically within networking, with a proven track record of delivering infrastructure assets and managing vendors. A solid understanding of fiber optic systems and submarine cable ecosystems, along with working knowledge of Asian and global carrier networks, is highly desirable.

Candidates should demonstrate the ability to apply business and technical insight to drive long-term organizational objectives. Excellent problem-solving and financial skills are essential, coupled with an analytical, data-driven approach to tackling complex challenges. Proficiency in navigating ambiguity and identifying optimization opportunities is key.
