Join NTT DATA as a Technical Consultant specializing in ThingWorx 10.x and Smart Connected Product Accelerator (SCPA). This role focuses on configuring, developing, integrating, testing, and deploying smart connected capabilities. You will work within an established solution architecture, providing hands-on implementation for ThingWorx development, SCPA configuration, remote access, endpoint automation, enterprise integrations, and security.
The consultant will translate user needs and acceptance criteria into robust, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions, prioritizing standard SCPA features and reusable components to minimize customization.
Key responsibilities include configuring SCPA applications, ThingWorx entities (Things, Thing Templates, Mashups), and developing reusable services and UI components. You will implement and validate remote-access capabilities, configure consent, session management, and file transfer functionalities. Developing automated file ingestion, processing workflows, and implementing robust error handling is crucial.
This role also involves configuring access governance, user roles, and implementing Just-in-Time (JIT) privileged-access workflows with detailed audit trails. You will support Unity (Salesforce) synchronization for endpoint master data and develop/consume REST APIs for enterprise integrations. Creating comprehensive test cases, supporting various testing phases, and troubleshooting defects are integral parts of the role. Deployment activities, production support, and knowledge transfer to operational teams are also expected.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in ThingWorx development, configuration, or implementation is required, with 3-5 years specifically with ThingWorx 9.x/10.x. You should have 3+ years of experience with SCPA or similar frameworks, alongside strong hands-on experience with ThingWorx Composer, Mashup Builder, and core ThingWorx concepts.
Proficiency in JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON, SQL, and PostgreSQL is essential, along with experience in API integration, data mapping, and troubleshooting. The role requires experience implementing RBAC, visibility controls, authentication/authorization integrations, approval workflows, and audit logging. Familiarity with source control, CI/CD, defect management, and release management is also necessary. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills are vital for success in this position.
