Develop, maintain, and enhance comprehensive disaster recovery strategies and plans aligned with organizational goals. Design and implement robust DR solutions across on-premise, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments. Conduct thorough risk assessments and business impact analyses to safeguard critical systems. Automate replication for VMs, data, and applications to ensure seamless business continuity. Configure and manage failover/failback procedures to minimize downtime. Lead DR drills to test and refine rapid response capabilities. Collaborate with architects and engineers for seamless DR integration into cloud infrastructure. Document DR procedures, maintain recovery plans, and ensure regulatory compliance. Provide expert training on DR best practices. Develop and uphold ransomware prevention and recovery strategies, including air-gapped and offsite backups. Conduct vulnerability scans and refine incident response protocols for ransomware attacks. Coordinate with IT teams to fortify DR plans against cyber threats and oversee recovery procedure validation.

A minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience is required, with at least 5 years focused on hands-on disaster recovery planning and execution. Demonstrated expertise with on-premise, hybrid, and major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and their respective DR tools is essential. Proficiency in automating replication and failover processes is expected. Strong experience in risk management, business impact analysis, and incident response planning is crucial. Practical knowledge of cost optimization for DR solutions and experience in developing/executing DR drills and training programs are also required.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with a Master’s degree being preferred. Relevant certifications in cloud computing, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity (e.g., ISO 22301, ISO 27001, ISO 31000, CISSP, CDRE, Cloud Certifications) are highly valued, with ISO 22301 and ISO 27001 being preferred. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, leadership, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary for this role.
