Engage clients to grasp business and recovery needs, translating them into effective database solutions. Provide expert advisory on database modernization, cloud adoption, and HA/DR strategies. Design, implement, and manage diverse database platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB. Execute essential database operations such as installation, upgrades, migrations, patching, and performance tuning. Administer comprehensive backup, recovery, high availability, security, and disaster recovery solutions. Configure and support critical technologies like Data Guard, Always-On, replication, clustering, and log shipping. Develop and maintain detailed DR plans, recovery runbooks, and supporting documentation. Actively participate in DR assessments, drills, failover testing, and recovery readiness validations. Support cloud migration initiatives, contributing to DR architecture and recovery design. Address and resolve complex database, failover, and recovery issues. Develop innovative HA/DR frameworks, best practices, and reusable assets. Contribute to proposal development, solutioning, and client presentations.

Possess 5-8 years of hands-on experience in database administration and engineering. Demonstrate strong expertise in either Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, or both. Exhibit a solid understanding of HA, DR, backup/recovery, and operational resilience principles. Gain practical experience with Data Guard, Always-On, replication, clustering, log shipping, and other DR technologies. Showcase experience in creating DR plans, recovery runbooks, recovery procedures, and supporting DR testing and validation. Obtain exposure to enterprise BCP/DR programs, recovery exercises, failover testing, and resilience assessments. Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or cloud-native databases is advantageous. Possess knowledge of Linux/Windows, virtualization, storage, and compute infrastructure. Have experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and DR-aware cloud architectures. Acquire knowledge of Shell, PowerShell, or Python scripting. Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and client-facing capabilities.
