We are seeking a Full Stack Engineering Manager to lead the technical delivery, stability, and evolution of the Drill & Blast System (DBS). This role combines hands-on architectural leadership, people management, and delivery governance to ensure DBS is scalable, secure, and meets the needs of mining operations.

The Engineering Manager will act as the key technical decision-maker and escalation point, empowering Senior Consultants and Consultants to excel in their delivery. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a better working world.

Oversee the end-to-end solution architecture for frontend (React SPA), backend APIs (Python/Flask/Django), optimization engines (Python/NumPy/SciPy/Shapely), and Azure cloud infrastructure. Ensure adherence to best practices for scalability, resilience, security, and performance, while leading modernization and technical debt reduction initiatives.

Provide technical leadership for REST API platforms, managing integrations with critical systems like Vulcan and ArcGIS. Ensure proper handling of spatial data with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and guide teams on API versioning, performance tuning, and data integrity.

Govern frontend development using React, TypeScript, and Vite, ensuring alignment with backend contracts and driving usability and performance standards. Lead technical direction for blast optimization engines and complex analytical systems, ensuring the reliability of fragmentation models and geometric solvers.

Own production readiness across Azure environments, managing infrastructure as code with Bicep and PowerShell. Drive monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics using Application Insights and OpenTelemetry, and oversee CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.

Manage delivery commitments, planning, and risk management for DBS functional streams. Lead release readiness, change management, and production stability efforts, including root cause analysis for critical incidents.

Lead and develop Senior Consultants and Consultants, focusing on performance reviews, goal setting, and career development. Foster a strong engineering culture centered on ownership, quality, and collaboration, and support team growth and succession planning.

Collaborate effectively with product owners, domain experts, and operational stakeholders to translate business needs into technical roadmaps. Communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and risks to leadership, representing engineering's perspective in program forums.

A proven ability to reason about large-scale distributed systems and make strong decisions in ambiguous, high-impact scenarios is essential. Expertise in diagnosing cross-layer issues across UI, API, optimization, and infrastructure is required.

Key technical expertise includes backend development with Python (Flask), REST APIs, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and domain-driven design. Familiarity with background jobs and asynchronous processing is expected.

For the frontend, proficiency in React, TypeScript, SPA architectures, state management, and data fetching strategies is necessary. Understanding of spatial and visualization concepts, including D3.js, is also important.

In optimization and analytics, experience with Python-based workflows, NumPy, SciPy, Shapely, and constraint-based/geometry-heavy calculation engines is required.

Cloud, DevOps, and observability skills are crucial, including Azure App Service, Functions, Static Web Apps, Application Insights, OpenTelemetry, Azure DevOps Pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep).
