This Backend Development Manager role focuses on leading the architecture, development, and deployment of robust backend platforms. Utilizing .NET, Azure, and modern API principles, you will blend hands-on technical guidance with team leadership and delivery accountability. The position ensures the creation of high-quality, secure, and efficient backend systems, driving architectural choices, mentoring engineering teams, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver enterprise-level solutions.

Architect and design scalable backend systems and microservices, establishing standards for API design, security, and performance.

Oversee the development of high-quality RESTful APIs and backend services, guiding teams in performance optimization and best practices.

Lead the deployment and management of backend services on Azure, establishing monitoring and observability standards while ensuring high availability.

Manage and mentor backend developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.

Own end-to-end backend delivery for projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing risks for timely completion.

Govern data architecture and integrations, ensuring database performance and integrity.

Promote DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing to enhance engineering productivity.

Demonstrate strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and Web API development, with a deep understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

Possess expertise in API security protocols like OAuth2 and JWT, alongside extensive experience with SQL Server/Azure SQL databases and Azure cloud services.

Showcase proven experience managing engineering teams (5-15 members), making sound technical decisions, and governing architecture.
