Engage clients to define business needs and translate them into robust database infrastructure solutions. Provide expert advisory on database strategy, modernization efforts, and cloud adoption pathways. Design, implement, and maintain enterprise database platforms, including Oracle, SQL Server, and NoSQL technologies like MongoDB and MySQL.

Key duties involve installation, upgrades, patching, migration, and performance tuning. Ensure the high availability, backup/recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and security of all database environments. Configure and manage database-level DR solutions such as replication, log shipping, clustering, Always-On, and Data Guard. Participate actively in DR planning, readiness validation, and periodic DR drills in collaboration with infrastructure teams. Develop and maintain comprehensive DR plans, recovery runbooks, and supporting documentation. Support cloud migration initiatives, including DR design considerations for IaaS, PaaS, and DBaaS environments.

We seek a seasoned professional with 8-11 years of experience in database administration and engineering. A strong foundation in at least two database platforms, such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, is essential. You should possess a deep understanding of database high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) concepts and their practical implementation, including hands-on experience with failover, backup/recovery, and DR technologies like Data Guard and Always-On.

Exposure to enterprise DR/BCP concepts and participation in DR drills or failover testing is highly valued. Experience with additional databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or cloud-native databases is a plus. Familiarity with infrastructure components (OS, storage, compute) and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), particularly with DR-aware architectures, is required. Knowledge of automation/scripting (Shell, PowerShell, Python) and an understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines are preferred. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to clients, are crucial for success in this client-facing consulting role.
