As a Backend Development Manager, you will be a key player in our technology initiatives, driving excellence in software development and cloud-native solutions.

Spearhead the architecture and design of scalable backend systems and microservices, setting standards for API design, security, and performance. Ensure the development of high-quality, maintainable code through rigorous standards and code reviews. Drive the deployment and management of services on Azure, establishing robust monitoring and incident management processes. Mentor and manage a team of backend developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and ownership.

Oversee end-to-end backend delivery, collaborating effectively with product, QA, and DevOps teams. Manage project risks and dependencies to ensure timely and successful project completion. Govern data architecture and integrations, ensuring database performance and system integrity.

A strong foundation in C#, .NET Core, and Web API development is essential, coupled with a deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and API security protocols like OAuth2 and JWT. Proven expertise in SQL Server/Azure SQL and hands-on experience with Azure services, including App Service and monitoring tools, are required.

Demonstrated experience in managing engineering teams (5-15 members) and a track record of making critical technical decisions are necessary. The ability to effectively balance hands-on development with leadership duties, alongside excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, is crucial for success in this role.
