Spearhead the architecture and design of scalable backend systems and microservices, defining standards for API design, security, performance, and scalability. Oversee the development of RESTful APIs and backend services, ensuring code quality through rigorous standards and reviews. Drive architectural decisions for cloud-native solutions on Azure, leading deployment and management of services. Manage and mentor backend developers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning while owning end-to-end backend delivery for projects. Govern integrations with external systems and promote CI/CD and DevOps best practices.

Requires strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, and Web API development, alongside a deep understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems. Proficiency in API security (OAuth2, JWT) and experience with SQL Server/Azure SQL databases are essential. Hands-on experience with Azure services like App Service and monitoring tools is expected. Proven experience managing engineering teams (5-15 members) and strong skills in technical decision-making and stakeholder management are crucial. Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and high-scale enterprise systems is preferred.
