As an Applications Architect, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solution designs and architectures for key global initiatives and client engagements. You will contribute to the development of architecture governance, methodologies, and compliance activities. Providing architecture leadership and domain expertise, particularly in digital technologies such as Mobile, Web, and Cloud, is a core part of this role. Ensuring adherence to technical strategies, policies, and standards across technology programs and products is essential.

This position demands the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with diverse stakeholders. You will set architectural direction, foster consensus, and mediate conflicts, offering technical leadership and advisory services. Recognizing and driving the adoption of emerging industry technology trends within EY will be a key contribution. You will also maintain strong client relationships, educating them on the benefits of optimal architecture, and guide teams in resolving complex solution architecture issues.

A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in software development is required, with at least 5 years dedicated to designing and building digital projects, including Mobile and Web solutions. An advanced understanding of application architecture, coupled with the ability to effectively communicate complex solutions and ideas to business partners, is crucial. You must possess a deep understanding of application, infrastructure, and security architecture, including non-functional requirements like performance and scalability.

Experience managing the end-to-end lifecycle of projects in a solution architect capacity is necessary. Proficiency in designing multi-tier services for multi-geography environments is expected. The ideal candidate can independently define and design solutions based on functional and non-functional requirements. Familiarity with a broad range of technology skillsets, including web/mobile solutions, core programming languages (Java, React, JavaScript), CSS frameworks, client-side and server-side technologies, databases, and build tools, is essential. Experience with containerization, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Microservices, BFF, Agile, and DevSecOps methodologies is also required. Excellent project management, collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills are paramount, as is experience in coaching and mentoring. While not strictly required, holding relevant architecture certifications is a plus.
