Job description

Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the team responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating all AWS global infrastructure. We are the backbone of the cloud, supporting data centers and the critical equipment that ensures continuous innovation for our customers. This is an opportunity to tackle complex, high-growth challenges within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Become part of a dynamic, diverse team comprising software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. You will collaborate across AWS to uphold the highest standards of safety and security while delivering immense capacity at the lowest possible cost. We foster an inclusive culture that encourages bold ideas and empowers ownership through to completion.

Responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Program Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver usable data center capacity in India, managing multiple projects concurrently. Your role involves bridging internal customers, business functions (Planning, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Policy, Operations), and delivery teams (Construction, Commissioning, Controls, Fiber, Network) to ensure on-time and appropriately-sized delivery of new data center capacity.

The scope extends from early expansion planning, including feasibility analysis and approving expansion plans with associated build timelines. You will evaluate crucial factors such as owned/leased/collocated data center supply, utility delivery, and long-lead equipment availability. Region-wide knowledge and active monitoring of in-flight projects, major risks, and remediation efforts are essential to meet supply commitments and evolving customer demand.

Qualifications

We are seeking individuals with strong business acumen, extensive experience in complex cross-functional program management, financial expertise, and a solid understanding of legal/regulatory landscapes. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are paramount, along with the ability to find clarity in ambiguity and simplicity in complexity.

While direct experience in data center deployment programs is advantageous, a strong background in program and project management, architecture/design, or engineering (mechanical, electrical, software, hardware) coupled with a fervent desire to learn is equally valued. A minimum of 3 years in technical infrastructure management, including knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies in networking, data centers, hardware, and software, is required.
