Join NTT DATA, a global leader in business and technology services, as a Tech Consultant specializing in Cloud Database Migration with AWS. We are seeking innovative and passionate individuals to drive secure, reliable, and low-downtime migrations from on-premises databases to AWS.

This role offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in database technologies, cloud architecture, and AI-accelerated tooling. You will play a key part in transforming client infrastructures and contributing to their digital future.

Your primary responsibilities will include assessing on-premises workloads and meticulously planning both homogeneous and heterogeneous database migrations. You will be responsible for converting schemas, stored procedures, and SQL across different database engines.

Furthermore, you will design secure AWS target environments (RDS, Aurora, EC2), execute cutover and rollback plans, and automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code. Post-migration, you will focus on performance tuning to ensure optimal database operations.

Essential skills for this role include deep knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Db2, along with strong SQL and tuning capabilities. Proficiency in AWS migration services like DMS and SCT, alongside AWS core services such as RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and networking is required.

We are also looking for candidates with expertise in cloud security best practices, including KMS, SSL/TLS encryption, least-privilege IAM, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS). Automation skills using Terraform/CloudFormation and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell are crucial, complemented by experience with AWS CloudWatch monitoring.

Additionally, a strong understanding of Generative AI/LLMs for database dialect translation, AI-assisted coding tools, ML-based assessment tools, and AI-driven performance monitoring is highly valued. Excellent problem-solving, clear communication, and project management awareness are essential soft skills.
