This role will focus on managing and ensuring compliance with India's GST regulations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual filings, reconciliations, and managing GST refund processes and audits. You will also oversee direct and indirect tax compliances for the US and Canada, coordinating with external advisors and local finance teams.
Key responsibilities include engaging with overseas tax consultants to understand sales tax laws, preparing data for tax filings, and validating consultant-prepared returns. You will maintain the accuracy of indirect tax compliances, perform necessary reconciliations, and account for setting off entries.
Responsibilities extend to computing advance tax, contingent liabilities, and assisting with corporate income tax return preparation and filing for Indian and US/Canada entities. This includes coordinating transfer pricing compliances, studies, and master form filings, alongside computing annual/quarterly current and deferred tax.
Furthermore, you will ensure adherence to company law, STPI, RBI, and other regulatory compliances. Accurate record-keeping, coordination with auditors for work papers, and resolving audit observations are crucial. Collaboration with the Finance team for month-end closure, audits, and data requirements is also expected. Proficiency in advanced Excel for data management and ad-hoc reporting is essential.
We are seeking a Taxation and Compliance Manager to oversee diverse tax and regulatory obligations. This role requires expertise in India GST compliances, US and Canada direct and indirect tax procedures, and international sales tax laws.
Key competencies include managing GST refunds, audits, and liaising with overseas tax consultants. A strong understanding of tax data preparation, validation of returns, and maintaining indirect tax hygiene is essential.
