This role is central to reviewing multi-country corporate and group statutory reporting processes, including financial statement close procedures. Your primary responsibilities will involve meticulous adherence to compliance calendars for timely financial statement finalization and statutory reporting. You will prepare and review standardized Group GAAP to Local GAAP bridging adjustments for multi-country engagements using central technology.
Key duties include gaining a deep understanding of client business processes to meet their requirements through regular updates and reports. You'll provide timely and comprehensive client query responses, challenge existing processes, and implement improvements with lean ideas and robust controls to enhance quality.
Further responsibilities include reviewing financial statements and schedules for accuracy and compliance, overseeing multi-country engagement dashboards, and conducting review meetings with stakeholders. Fostering strong working relationships within the team and across departments is essential, as is providing technical guidance and creating value propositions. You will also manage additional project-related tasks and ad hoc requests, working independently with minimal supervision.
We are looking for candidates with 3-6 years of experience in statutory reporting, complemented by 1-2 years in a people management role. A comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, such as Dip in IFRS and US GAAP, is essential.
Experience with Statutory European country GAAPs is a significant advantage. Proficiency in working with ERP systems, particularly SAP or Oracle, is preferred. Qualified candidates include CA/CPA/ACCA holders with 3-6 years of experience, CA pursuing/ACCA with at least 10 papers cleared and 8 years of experience, or B.COM/M.COM graduates with 5-9 years of experience.
Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of other foreign languages like French or Spanish is an asset. Ideal candidates will be motivated self-starters with excellent interpersonal skills, strong work organization, initiative, and commitment. Advanced knowledge of Excel and other financial tools is also highly valued.
