As a highly skilled Palo Alto Firewall Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and supporting advanced firewall solutions across diverse multi-cloud environments, including GCP, Azure, and AWS. You will be crucial in facilitating secure cloud adoption by developing scalable, policy-driven network security architectures that adhere to enterprise standards, regulatory mandates, and zero-trust principles.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls, cloud networking, and automation, with a proven track record of success in complex, highly controlled environments. Your focus will be on driving modernization and operational excellence.

Lead engineering efforts for firewall and network security capabilities within public cloud platforms. Collaborate closely with cloud engineering, cybersecurity, application teams, and external vendors to architect and deploy secure, scalable solutions.

Drive strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing cloud security posture, automating firewall policy management, and improving system resilience. This position demands a blend of hands-on engineering, architectural design, and operational risk management within a highly regulated banking framework.

Key responsibilities include leading complex initiatives for cloud network security infrastructure, participating in programs to modernize security platforms, evaluating security solutions, and analyzing critical incidents to implement preventative measures. You will also design, build, and maintain Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls and Panorama across multi-cloud setups, develop IaC solutions for policy management, and contribute to Agile development practices.

A minimum of 5 years in network security engineering with a strong emphasis on firewall technologies is required.

Demonstrated hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (VM-Series, Panorama, policy management) is essential. You should also have experience designing and supporting firewall solutions within at least one major public cloud environment (GCP, Azure, or AWS).

Essential skills include a solid understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPC/VNet, routing, NAT, load balancing, segmentation), proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines, and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues across distributed systems. Experience in regulated environments with robust risk, compliance, and control requirements is also necessary. A strong grasp of network security principles such as zero trust, segmentation, and threat prevention, along with the ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate cross-functionally, are critical.
