NTT DATA is seeking a skilled Systems Integration Senior Specialist to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. This role focuses on leading the evolution of infrastructure provisioning and automation ecosystems. You will be a strategic technical leader, architecting scalable solutions, defining direction, and influencing engineering culture.

The Principal Engineer will champion automation, mentor fellow engineers, and collaborate across departments to deliver robust, self-service platform capabilities. Success in this role depends on anticipating challenges, managing escalations, and making informed decisions that balance business objectives with technical feasibility. You'll be responsible for breaking down complex projects into manageable tasks, developing functional specifications, and ensuring timely project completion. Strong decision-making, prioritization, and stakeholder trust are essential for this position.

Lead the design and implementation of target state architecture for infrastructure automation, establishing organizational standards and patterns. Architect and oversee the development of reusable, modular Infrastructure as Code (IaC) components using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Crossplane. Define and drive adoption of GitOps workflows for automated provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle management of cloud infrastructure. Build and scale self-service platform capabilities to empower developers to manage infrastructure independently via intuitive interfaces and APIs. Integrate infrastructure automation with tools such as ArgoCD, Kubernetes, and CI/CD platforms (Tekton, GitHub Actions) to enhance the developer experience. Review and approve new infrastructure standards, patterns, and practices, ensuring alignment with security, scalability, and reliability goals. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Product Owners, and Principal Engineers to influence product roadmaps and promote platform engineering solutions. Lead support for critical applications and customer journeys, including incident resolution, postmortems, and operational metrics automation.

A minimum of 7 years of Engineering experience is required, demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. Additionally, 7+ years of experience in Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions, along with 7+ years in software development and delivery, is essential. In-depth knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including virtualization, networking, storage, and security, is crucial.

Furthermore, candidates should possess 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise-level complex applications and platforms. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Crossplane, or similar IaC tools is mandatory. Experience engineering and supporting both Linux/Unix and Windows servers for 5+ years is also a key requirement.

Desired qualifications include 5+ years designing and building observability solutions (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus), 3+ years of experience with GitOps principles and tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Tekton, GitHub Actions), and 3+ years designing and consuming RESTful APIs (Golang, Python) for infrastructure automation integration.

Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) for 3+ years and 2+ years with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and hybrid cloud platforms is highly valued. Expertise in designing complex, distributed, and scalable enterprise-level applications is preferred. Familiarity with developer portals (e.g., Backstage) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

This position operates in a hybrid, in-office environment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role, and there is no relocation allowance.
