As a Senior Specialist, you will leverage your extensive experience in Linux/Unix system administration and automation to design, implement, and maintain complex enterprise environments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our systems, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation initiatives.

Design and implement scalable, highly available Linux environments, including migrations, upgrades, and cloud transformations. Administer and troubleshoot complex production issues across RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE, and Rocky Linux, focusing on kernel tuning and performance optimization. Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, coupled with Bash and Python scripting. Manage Linux workloads in cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), understanding cloud-native services and networking. Administer and troubleshoot containerization technologies like Docker/Podman and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/OpenShift. Implement and manage monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Splunk) and SRE practices. Ensure system security, hardening, and compliance with standards like CIS, STIG, ISO, and SOC2. Lead major incident handling, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures adhering to ITIL best practices. Collaborate with DevOps, application, and cloud teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines.

A graduate degree in B. Tech/B.E./MCA or an equivalent qualification is required. Requires 8 to 10 years of professional experience in Linux/Unix system administration within large-scale enterprise settings. Possess deep expertise in advanced Linux administration, including kernel tuning, performance optimization, and troubleshooting. Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, alongside proficiency in Bash and Python scripting. Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managing Linux workloads in cloud/hybrid setups is essential. Solid working knowledge of Docker/Podman and hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift administration is a must. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or Splunk, along with SRE practices, is expected. Understanding of Linux security, hardening, and compliance standards is crucial. Experience in incident, problem, and change management, including ITIL practices, is required. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers, are highly valued.
