Design and construct the SQL Server data foundation for our monitoring solution.

Convert raw SSAS/ALETL telemetry into traceable, historical, and queryable data.

Perform source-to-metric mapping for various log and telemetry sources.

Develop logical and physical data models across multiple data layers.

Define fact grain, keys, conformed dimensions, and historisation patterns.

Create advanced T-SQL procedures, views, and transformations.

Parse and structure log messages, correlating events effectively.

Implement mechanisms for duplicate detection, error handling, and safe reprocessing.

Build data structures for derived metrics, snapshots, and trend analysis.

Develop Power BI-ready serving views and support source-to-report reconciliation.

Optimize SQL queries and data structures for performance.

Utilize SSDT/DACPAC and Git for database change management.

Conduct unit testing and support defect resolution during SIT/UAT.

Possess advanced T-SQL and strong SQL Server development expertise.

Demonstrate proficiency in logical and physical data modeling, including dimensional modeling concepts.

Exhibit familiarity with historisation patterns, such as snapshots and SCDs.

Skilled in writing stored procedures, views, functions, and performing query optimization.

Experience with log parsing, event correlation, and data transformation is essential.

Strong understanding of error handling, auditability, and safe rerun design principles.

Proficient in SSDT/DACPAC and Git-based database delivery practices.

Ability to create effective Power BI serving views.

Recommended: 8+ years of experience in SQL Server/data engineering, with proven experience in designing production-grade data models and transformation logic.
