Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines using Apache Airflow and building real-time data streaming solutions with Apache Kafka. You will also develop, optimize, and monitor ETL/ELT workflows and data integrations, along with configuring and managing Kafka topics, producers, and consumers. Troubleshooting pipeline failures, performance issues, and data quality concerns is essential. Collaboration with data engineers, application teams, and business stakeholders is a core part of this role. Implementing monitoring, logging, and operational best practices for data platforms is also expected.

Essential skills for this position include strong experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, and stream processing. Proficiency in Python for data pipeline development is crucial. A good understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and distributed systems is required. Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices is also necessary. Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred. Experience with big data technologies such as Spark or Databricks, and knowledge of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes are considered advantageous.
