Join a global engineering team at GE Healthcare, a leader in medical technology and digital solutions. This role focuses on developing state-of-the-art Computed Tomography (CT) systems. Systems engineering is a crucial discipline that balances business and technical needs to deliver quality products.

As a Systems Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of CT Systems Engineers, guiding them in developing systems that meet stringent customer requirements for quality, performance, cost, and market speed. This position involves close collaboration with product management, software, hardware, and other cross-functional and global teams to drive innovation and excellence in CT system development.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of Systems Engineers, fostering a high-performance culture through recruitment, career development, coaching, and training. Drive strategic discussions on product and technology roadmaps, and collaborate with global teams to standardize engineering processes, enhance efficiency, and implement system test automation.

Integrate Quality Management System processes with effective engineering practices like Six Sigma and Lean, and conduct rigorous technical design reviews. Champion continuous improvement in systems, products, and processes to support the technology strategy and optimize team participation across all product development phases. Manage resources, including headcount and budget, and support existing products by interfacing with manufacturing, sourcing, service, and supplier quality engineering.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or Physics is required. The ideal candidate possesses 15+ years of engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on new product development.

This role demands at least 3 years of project management experience and 3+ years of direct people leadership responsibility. Prior experience in directly managing Systems Engineering or leading systems engineering projects is essential. Candidates must demonstrate proven cross-functional collaboration skills, effective supplier and manufacturing interface abilities, and possess excellent communication and influencing skills to gain buy-in for initiatives.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are critical. You should be adept at evaluating information, anticipating obstacles, and developing actionable strategies. A change-oriented mindset, with a proactive approach to process improvement and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities, is highly valued.
