This role is crucial for our Network Operations team, focusing on intermediate L1 and junior L2 responsibilities. You will be instrumental in resolving moderately complex network issues and ensuring incident stability before escalation.

Perform in-depth L1 troubleshooting for network interfaces, analyze utilization and errors, and conduct basic routing checks.

Verify VPN tunnel states and firewall rules (read-only), and manage incident tickets through to resolution or justified escalation.

Collaborate with ISPs to troubleshoot WAN link issues, including CRC errors, flaps, and latency.

Assist in executing standard network changes, such as port configurations and VLAN assignments, under guidance.

Support planned maintenance activities, including device checks and pre/post-validation.

Mentor junior engineers and review their ticket quality to ensure high standards.

Maintain comprehensive network documentation and runbooks.

Foundational hands-on expertise in network operations is essential for this role.

Ability to resolve moderately complex network issues and stabilize incidents is required.

Familiarity with interface utilization and error analysis, basic routing (static, OSPF), VPN tunnel states, and read-only firewall rule verification is necessary.

Experience working with ISPs for WAN link troubleshooting and assisting with standard network configurations is expected.

Skills in performing device checks and validation during planned maintenance are beneficial.

Mentoring capabilities and experience in maintaining network documentation are key attributes.
