As a G5 – Storage & Backup Administrator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our storage and backup environments. Your expertise will support critical IT infrastructure, contributing to client success and societal progress through advanced technology solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will involve deep troubleshooting of storage and backup systems, including LUN accessibility, pathing issues, latency alerts, and storage pool warnings.

You will execute routine provisioning tasks following Standard Operating Procedures, such as LUN creation, mapping, and NAS share management. Additionally, you will resolve complex backup failures related to client configuration, network connectivity, and media servers.

Further duties include performing validated restores, monitoring tape libraries and media pools, and supporting patching and firmware upgrade activities. You will also analyze logs to identify recurring issues and mentor junior engineers, ensuring high-quality ticket resolution.

A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in storage and backup operations is required. A solid understanding of SAN zoning, LUN masking, and both iSCSI and Fibre Channel connectivity is essential.

Familiarity with snapshot management and replication basics is necessary. Hands-on experience with tools like NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam, DataDomain, EMC, and NetApp is highly desirable.

While not mandatory, basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell or Bash will be beneficial for this role.
