Job description

NVIDIA, a recognized leader in accelerated computing, is seeking a System Software Manager to lead its Power Profiling and Infrastructure team. This role involves spearheading advancements in power measurement and optimization for critical platforms, including RTX Spark, DGX Spark, discrete GPUs, and data center solutions. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of power efficiency across NVIDIA's cutting-edge products.

The Software Power Profiling team is the core authority for power measurement on NVIDIA's most strategic platforms. We ensure performance-per-watt, qualify power targets, collaborate with OEMs on battery life, manage extensive regression farms, and develop the essential profiling infrastructure that enables the entire company to understand and enhance power consumption.

Responsibilities

Lead and nurture a global team of power and infrastructure engineers across Pune and Bangalore, defining roadmaps, development plans, and responsibilities. Drive the team's power profiling expertise throughout the product lifecycle, from pre-silicon engagement to release qualification. This includes power target validation, regression monitoring, battery-life testing, and performance-per-watt monitoring for discrete GPUs and data center platforms.

Take ownership of the physical lab infrastructure, managing a multi-site instrumented measurement lab, device fleet, and all associated logistics. Shape measurability from pre-silicon through production, influencing power modeling, designing instrumentation, and ensuring all prerequisites for accurate measurement are met. Quantify and resolve power gaps, collaborating with software and hardware teams to drive optimization and deliver crucial power verdicts for product release decisions.

Furthermore, you will lead cross-company power engagement, aligning methodologies and tooling with OEMs and software power owners. You will co-engineer battery-life targets, conduct joint root-cause analysis, and maintain a unified bug tracking system. Own the team's infrastructure portfolio, ensuring energy-regulation compliance and delivering necessary evidence for product release gates.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, possessing over 8 years of industry experience. A minimum of 5 years in engineering management is required, with a demonstrated history of delivering complex software and infrastructure solutions across distributed teams.

Candidates should possess a deep understanding of power systems, computer architecture, and SoC/platform power, including hands-on experience in power measurement, analysis, or power-stack debugging. Experience managing or closely supporting a hardware measurement lab, including instrumentation, device fleet management, and logistics, is essential.

Demonstrated ability to engage across the entire program lifecycle, from pre-silicon modeling to post-commercialization sustaining, is critical. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with diverse engineering teams, program management, partner labs, OEMs, and executive stakeholders. A commitment to measurement quality and data defensibility is paramount.
