Embark on a thrilling journey as a System Development Engineer II, focusing on Customer Experience Infrastructure (CXI) within Amazon Robotics. This role offers a unique chance to tackle complex technical challenges and build innovative software that directly shapes the design and launch of Amazon's Dark Stores and fulfillment centers.
Join a team being established from the ground up in Bengaluru, providing an exceptional opportunity to be an early contributor and influence our operational strategies, innovation, and scaling efforts. You will be part of the Operations Infrastructure Services (OIS) organization, where the CXI team is dedicated to creating region-specific, customer-centric solutions aimed at optimizing costs, enhancing operational transparency, simplifying processes, and managing lifecycles.
Our mission is to significantly reduce the expenses and time involved in building and operating technology infrastructure across Amazon's fulfillment centers, Whole Foods stores, and quick commerce locations. This is your chance to be at the forefront of operational excellence.
Embrace an entrepreneurial spirit and a collaborative, startup-like environment where you'll wear many hats. You'll develop expertise across diverse domains including Amazon dark store and fulfillment center supply chains, warehouse management solutions, network infrastructure, end-user equipment, machine learning, and distributed systems.
Your primary duties will involve writing software features, diagnosing and resolving production issues, creating robust monitoring solutions, performing software maintenance and scaling, and implementing fixes for internally developed code. You will also execute SQL queries, manage technical challenges, and collaborate with development teams on software projects, enhancements, automation, and system documentation.
This role demands close partnership with business and technical teams to dissect complex, non-standard problems. You'll leverage creative problem-solving to rapidly prototype solutions and deliver production-ready software. Strong verbal and written communication skills are highly valued.
We are seeking individuals with a strong foundation in full-stack software development, encompassing both backend and frontend engineering, with proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, React, and experience with AWS. Hands-on experience across the entire delivery lifecycle, including deployment, testing, documentation, and operations, is essential.
Demonstrated experience programming in at least one modern language like C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby is required. You should also possess experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure, along with a minimum of 5 years in non-internship professional software development.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and build processes is crucial. Experience with distributed systems at scale, building services using AWS products, and knowledge of networking, storage systems, operating systems, and systems engineering are highly preferred. A working knowledge of front-end languages (JavaScript, CSS, HTML) and database systems with SQL capabilities will further strengthen your candidacy.
