Your expertise will directly benefit customers by ensuring Amazon fulfills its commitments. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving production software issues, developing monitoring solutions, and performing software maintenance and configuration. You'll leverage AI tools and implement fixes for internally developed code, utilizing languages like Perl, Ruby, C/C++, JAVA, and Python. Performing SQL queries, tracking technical challenges, and building automation tools are also key aspects of this position.
You will be instrumental in troubleshooting and resolving complex production software issues, ensuring the smooth operation of fulfillment services. Developing innovative monitoring solutions and performing essential software maintenance and configuration are core duties.
Leveraging AI tools, including generative AI and large language models, to enhance software development, debugging, and operational workflows is expected. You will implement fixes for internally developed code, conduct SQL queries, and build tools to automate daily operational tasks. Collaboration with development teams on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects, enhancing current software, system design, and documenting systems will also be part of your role.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong ability to automate, deploy, and support infrastructure. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust is essential.
Experience with Linux/Unix environments is required. Familiarity with generative AI (GenAI) tools and large language model (LLM)-based assistants to accelerate software development, debugging, and operational workflows is highly desirable.
Success in this role hinges on being detail-oriented with superior verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational abilities, the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, independent work ethic, and maintaining professionalism under pressure are critical.
