As a Software Development Engineer specializing in Multimedia, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of media consumption devices. You'll leverage both open-source and proprietary technologies to build next-generation products, ensuring an exceptional end-to-end customer experience. This role is centered around the design and development of cutting-edge multimedia initiatives and features. You will be instrumental in investigating, prototyping, and delivering novel system solutions.
Key responsibilities include the research, design, implementation, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of new and existing systems. You will also create software services and tools to enhance the software development process and improve overall quality. A core part of your work will involve the implementation and customization of software, collaborating closely with application teams to deliver robust audio/video components for FireOS, guiding development from concept through to launch.
We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented Software Development Engineer with a profound passion for quality and an enthusiasm for new digital products.
Basic qualifications include experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure. Proficiency in programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust is essential. A strong understanding of Linux/Unix environments is also required.
Preferred qualifications include experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes. Familiarity with multimedia frameworks, Android, ExoPlayer, and GStreamer would be highly advantageous.
