Amazon is seeking a skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) to focus on manual testing for applications and products at the user level. Key responsibilities include executing test cases and meticulously reporting bugs. You will provide essential floor support to Device Associates, clarifying their questions during execution. This role requires the ability to navigate system ambiguity, possessing a clear understanding of the product and project, with minimal reliance on work instructions.

You will proactively identify training needs and simplify work instructions to reduce ambiguity. This includes creating test data and executing tests efficiently and clearly. Engagement in ad-hoc testing such as exploratory testing and bug bashes to uncover customer-centric issues is also expected. Providing feedback on coverage, test instruction quality, and automation needs to the QA team is a vital part of this role.

Essential qualifications include over 1 year of experience in quality assurance testing and over 1 year of experience in quality assurance engineering, or a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT, or an equivalent field is required. Familiarity with QA methodology and tools, coupled with demonstrated experience in an QA Engineer role, is crucial. The ability to comprehend product and technical requirements and collaborate effectively with Product/Technology teams is also necessary.
