Join Google's Global Networking team as a Strategic Negotiator and play a crucial role in securing the infrastructure that powers Google's global services. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with project teams to finalize deals, cultivate strong vendor and partner relationships, and present strategic deal recommendations to leadership. Google Global Networking (GNA) is instrumental in planning, sourcing, and delivering the robust global network infrastructure that connects Google's applications and Cloud products worldwide. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery of scalable network connections for existing and future data centers across India and globally.
Work closely with internal business units and cross-functional teams to identify and define strategic initiatives supporting Google's network infrastructure expansion, resilience, and cost optimization throughout India.
Ensure the delivery of unit costs for Google's network infrastructure, aligning with near build cost economics.
Lead special projects and executive priorities that span across regions, functions, and timelines, encompassing strategy development, execution, tracking, and closure.
Develop and implement innovative strategies to address complex infrastructure challenges.
Effectively manage multiple vendors and suppliers, providing timely updates on issues and resolutions to key stakeholders.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
Possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in negotiating and structuring agreements or in leading business development initiatives.
Preferred qualifications include strong market knowledge of vendors, infrastructure, pricing, and industry trends, along with a comprehensive understanding of the telecom domain, including terrestrial and subsea networks.
Demonstrated expertise in commercial negotiation, managing complexity and scope, fostering strong relationships, and influencing stakeholders is essential.
Familiarity with contract formation, general legal principles, investigative techniques, and regulatory landscapes is also beneficial.
