As a Storage Compliance SME, you'll be instrumental in managing the compliance and security of our organization's block and file storage infrastructure, with a focus on Dell PowerScale and Unity platforms. Your expertise will ensure our storage services remain secure, supported, and compliant through diligent vulnerability monitoring, software and firmware updates, and lifecycle controls.

This role involves close collaboration with Storage Engineering, Operations, Information Security, and other key stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying and assessing alerts and vulnerabilities, supporting risk-based remediation efforts, and enhancing operational processes. While you provide essential product-specific subject-matter expertise, the broader compliance program remains under the guidance of the Stay in Compliance Lead.

You will serve as the primary compliance expert for our block and file storage infrastructure, focusing on Dell PowerScale, Dell Unity, Unity VSA, and Brocade Fibre Channel switches. Your duties include monitoring alerts to identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps, assessing their technical impact and business risk, and coordinating remediation efforts with relevant teams.

Key responsibilities involve tracking remediation actions, managing exceptions, and escalating significant risks or delays. You'll maintain comprehensive compliance records, analyze operational data using Microsoft SQL and Power BI for reporting, and review OEM advisories to translate findings into actionable tasks. Additionally, you will support audits by providing essential evidence and foster strong working relationships across internal teams and with vendors.

The ideal candidate possesses practical knowledge of enterprise block and file storage operations, including NAS, SAN, Fibre Channel, and backup/recovery concepts. Hands-on experience with Dell PowerScale, Dell Unity, Unity VSA, and Brocade Fibre Channel switches is essential.

A working knowledge of storage monitoring, security, backup, and analytics tools such as Superna, Securiti AI, Veeam, TreeSize Professional, or SpaceObServer is required. You should have a solid understanding of vulnerability management, risk assessment, and lifecycle controls. Proficiency in Microsoft SQL and Power BI for data analysis and reporting is crucial.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently while coordinating effectively across teams are vital. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience is preferred.
