This role involves owning Orion Hierarchical Rollouts and Orion Config, providing technical leadership on high-impact initiatives. You will execute the Orion Rollouts roadmap, aligning with long-term SDN goals and influencing a distributed engineering team.

Gain a deep understanding of the Orion SDN domain, customer needs, and future requirements to help define component architectures. Facilitate cross-team alignment on goals, outcomes, and timelines. Drive innovation and implementation of novel solutions within Orion ProdInfra, managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Design and develop well-defined APIs for a unified interface to Orion consumers. Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, along with 8 years of programming experience in C++.

Candidates should have 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products, as well as 5 years of experience building large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks. Experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture is also necessary.

Additionally, 3 years of experience in software design and architecture is essential. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s or PhD in a related technical field, 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms, and 3 years of experience in technical leadership roles.

Experience in complex, matrixed organizations and with cross-functional projects is also beneficial.
