As a Staff Software Engineer on the Google One Subs Platform team, you will provide crucial technical leadership for high-impact projects. You will influence and mentor a globally distributed engineering team, fostering clarity and alignment on project goals, outcomes, and timelines.

Your responsibilities will include managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables effectively. You'll be instrumental in designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale software solutions. This role demands a forward-thinking approach to software development and problem-solving.

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, coupled with at least 8 years of programming expertise in languages such as C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go. A minimum of 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products is essential, alongside 3 years dedicated to software design and architecture.

Additionally, experience integrating generative AI tools or Large Language Model (LLM) interfaces into workflows is required. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant technical field, 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms, and 3 years in a technical leadership capacity guiding project teams and setting technical direction.
