You'll work with cutting-edge AI and infrastructure, impacting billions of users worldwide.

Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, influencing and coaching a distributed team of engineers. Facilitate team alignment on goals and timelines, and manage project priorities to ensure successful deliverables. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale software solutions.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing distributed software systems to address complex network challenges. This involves managing the full lifecycle of network elements, from installation and activation to capacity expansion, reduction, and decommissioning.

Contribute to the ongoing innovation within Google's worldwide network, including both customer-facing and private WAN infrastructure. Your work will directly support the reliability and efficiency of Google's global services and AI model development.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, along with a minimum of 8 years of programming experience in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go. You should also have 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products, and 3 years of experience in software design and architecture.

Candidates must possess experience designing, implementing, and optimizing network architectures for campus, data center, and Wide Area Network (WAN) environments. Experience with data structures and algorithms is also essential.

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or PhD in a related technical field, 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, and experience working in complex, matrixed organizations on cross-functional projects. Familiarity with building software applications in the networking domain is highly advantageous.
