As a Staff Software Engineer, you will engineer and maintain high-performance, secure, and robust solutions with a strong customer focus. You will independently ship significant features and improvements, collaborating with your team on larger initiatives. You'll tackle complex technical challenges, translate high-level business needs into detailed software designs, and communicate these designs effectively.

Your role will involve reviewing code, providing constructive feedback on features and architecture, and driving standards for code quality and testing. You will help define the technical roadmap and architecture for the team. Additionally, you'll mentor junior engineers, acting as a technical lead to foster their growth and autonomy. You will also engage with business and technical leadership to identify opportunities for revenue growth and rapid scaling.

We are seeking an experienced engineer with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field, coupled with a minimum of 8 years of programming experience. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion. Experience scaling products from inception to a significant user base (1 to 100) is highly valued.

Familiarity with our technology stack, including Python, Django, React, MongoDB, AWS, and GoLang, is preferred. You should thrive in ambiguous environments, proactively identifying areas for impact. An infectious passion for solving real customer pain points is essential. Experience building scalable distributed systems and critical platform components that support rapid product growth is also a key requirement. Bonus points for experience with marketplace platforms.
