Join Google's AI Garage as a Staff Software Engineer and contribute to the forefront of next-generation technologies. You'll be instrumental in developing innovative AI/ML systems and agentic solutions, particularly within the HR domain. This position is part of Corp Eng, Google's internal IT organization. We build world-leading business solutions that empower Googlers to create more helpful products and services. Essentially, we are Google for Googlers, delivering essential tools, platforms, and experiences.

As a key member of our team, you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions.

Develop cutting-edge AI/ML systems and agentic solutions focused on the HR domain. Provide critical technical leadership, tackling complex challenges for associated teams. Design and build highly scalable agentic systems within the HR space. Collaborate closely with AI Garage Leads, including Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and AI Strategists, to understand needs and translate them into actionable technical solutions. Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in Agentic and AIML engineering.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required, alongside equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 8 years of comprehensive software development experience is essential, utilizing languages such as Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript. Demonstrated experience of 5 years in testing and successfully launching software products is necessary. At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI evaluations, training, or model development is a must. Experience working within a globally distributed product and engineering team is highly preferred. Exceptional communication skills spanning engineering, product, and business domains are beneficial. Familiarity with implementing and customizing structural execution patterns like ReAct, Tree of Thoughts (ToT), and Plan-and-Solve loops is a plus.
