Join our dynamic Product and Platform Engineering team as a Senior Staff Software Engineer. You will spearhead the design and implementation of large-scale, cloud-native distributed systems. This role demands profound technical acumen, exceptional engineering skills, and the leadership to guide teams and influence architectural decisions across departments. A robust understanding of the Java ecosystem, cloud technologies, and contemporary software design is essential.

Architect, design, and build highly available, scalable microservices utilizing Java and Spring Boot. Drive technical roadmaps, system architecture, and platform advancement in collaboration with product and cross-functional teams. Champion non-functional requirements such as performance, security, observability, and resilience. Establish and uphold rigorous engineering best practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), code reviews, CI/CD, and system monitoring.

Collaborate on API design (REST/gRPC) with front-end and product teams. Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on complex technical challenges and lead cross-team technical initiatives. Mentor engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and ownership.

Requires 10+ years of progressive software development experience, including technical leadership or staff engineer roles. Essential expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, etc.). Proven track record in designing and managing distributed systems and microservices within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong data modeling skills with both relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB) databases. Proficient in event-driven systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Experience implementing Service Mesh technologies like Istio. Demonstrated excellence in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and regression testing. Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger). Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required. This role mandates a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
