Join our Product and Platform Engineering team as a Staff Engineer, focusing on Pega application development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your 6 to 9 years of IT expertise, with a significant portion dedicated to Pega. You will be instrumental in crafting and delivering robust Pega solutions that align perfectly with our business objectives and enterprise standards.

This position requires a deep understanding of the Pega platform and a commitment to driving innovation. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our Pega applications, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and maintainable.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and leading comprehensive Pega solutions. You will implement sophisticated case management, business rules, and decisioning logic, alongside seamless integrations. A critical part of the role involves performance tuning, conducting thorough code reviews, and optimizing applications for maximum efficiency.

Drive adherence to Pega design best practices, guardrail compliance, and reuse strategies. Integrate Pega with various external systems using technologies like REST, SOAP, and Kafka. You will also collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams, while mentoring junior developers and conducting technical reviews. Supporting production deployments and resolving critical defects are also essential duties, including active participation in production support activities.

A minimum of 6 years in IT, with at least 5 years specifically in Pega development, is essential. Proficiency in Pega 7.x / 8.x (Pega Infinity) is a must, complemented by a profound understanding of Case Management, Data Modeling, Decision Tables/Trees, Flows, Activities, Data Pages, and integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs).

Proven experience in performance tuning and application debugging is required. Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines, along with experience in Agile/Scrum environments, is highly beneficial. Understanding of the App Dev Lifecycle through release management, migration, and branches is also necessary. A Pega Senior System Architect Certification (Pega CSSA) is mandatory.

Strong knowledge of Pega guardrails and best practices is crucial. Additional competencies include experience in production support and incident management, solid SQL and Web Services knowledge, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, and a capacity for mentoring. The ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced settings and to quickly adapt to new responsibilities is key.
