Altimetrik is seeking experienced Network Engineers to join a 24x7 Network Operations Centre. This role supports a high-availability payments platform hosted on AWS within a regulated environment.

You will be instrumental in resolving complex network incidents and managing changes. The position involves operating core AWS networking and Palo Alto Networks solutions. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers as part of a rota system covering UK and APAC time zones.

Provide in-depth technical expertise for intricate network incidents and change implementations.

Manage and operate essential AWS networking services and Palo Alto Networks security infrastructure.

Offer support and guidance to less experienced team members.

Participate in a rotational schedule to ensure continuous coverage across UK and APAC regions.

Ensure the stability and security of a critical, high-availability payments platform.

Possess a strong understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPC, Subnets, Routing, Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect.

Demonstrate hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security appliances.

Have experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Familiarity with AWS-native security and monitoring tools like Network Firewall, GuardDuty, and VPC Flow Logs is essential.

Exhibit scripting and automation skills using languages like Python or Ansible.

Understand hybrid cloud networking principles and cloud-to-on-premises connectivity.

An advantage would be prior exposure to compliance and governance standards within regulated environments.
