Seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to support, enhance, and optimize Oracle-based applications. This role is crucial for managing existing systems, resolving production issues, and contributing to exciting database modernization projects. The position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team preparing for migration to cloud environments, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with PostgreSQL as the target.

This is a part-time role based in Chennai, requiring deep expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless transitions and efficient database operations.

Manage and support existing Oracle-based systems, including addressing production issues and implementing data fixes. Enhance database functionality and implement necessary changes, ensuring optimal performance. Analyze and resolve database-related problems, closely monitoring job executions. Optimize queries, develop procedures, functions, and packages, and fine-tune performance. Contribute to data modeling and schema design activities. Prepare for and actively participate in the migration of databases to PostgreSQL on GCP.

Extensive experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer with a strong command of PL/SQL, SQL, procedures, functions, and packages. Proven ability in performance tuning, query optimization, and analyzing execution plans. Solid understanding of data modeling and schema design principles. Experience with production support, including issue analysis, data fixes, and job monitoring. Familiarity with database enhancements and change implementation processes. Exposure to or readiness for migrating to PostgreSQL on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a significant advantage.
