Join Thredd as a Staff Engineer in Data Analytics and take a leading role in shaping our analytics engineering capabilities. You will be instrumental in developing transformation layers, semantic models, and the 'Gold' layer data products that underpin Thredd's business intelligence and self-serve analytics platforms. Lead the design and implementation of advanced analytics engineering solutions, focusing on building robust transformation layers and semantic models. Develop and optimize the 'Gold' layer data products to ensure they effectively power Thredd's BI and self-serve analytics needs. Define and enforce technical standards for analytics engineering, providing mentorship and guidance to team members. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient data solutions. Ensure the quality and integrity of data within analytics pipelines, adhering to best practices and industry standards.

Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI engineering roles. Demonstrate expert-level proficiency with DBT, including modeling, testing, documentation, and large-scale deployments. Show deep experience with Redshift, particularly in Gold/consumption layer design and performance optimization. Exhibit strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of data modeling techniques, such as dimensional modeling and handling slowly changing dimensions. Have practical experience with BI tooling such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms. Familiarity with data quality frameworks and PCI DSS data handling in analytics contexts is essential. Strong technical leadership capabilities and a passion for mentoring junior engineers are highly valued.
