This position spearheads our test automation efforts, significantly contributing to the overall quality assurance process.

As a Senior Technical Test Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving quality by leading our test automation initiatives. This role is vital for ensuring our development outputs align perfectly with stakeholder expectations, leveraging advanced automation techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts for both UI and API testing. You will create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and acceptance criteria. Building, maintaining, and enhancing reusable automation frameworks using industry best practices is also a core function. Collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA team members to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios is essential.

Further duties involve analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving automation, environment, and test execution issues. Reviewing automation scripts and test execution results to ensure adherence to standards and best practices is critical. You will leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance requirement analysis, test design, and automation development, thereby boosting QA productivity. Active participation in Agile ceremonies and documenting defects, test execution results, and project status updates are also expected.

We require 3–5 years of comprehensive experience across the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Essential skills include strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress for UI automation, and robust experience in API testing and automation using Playwright API, Karate, Rest Assured, or equivalent frameworks. Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript is mandatory, with Java experience being required and Python being an advantage. A strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and coding best practices is necessary.

Further qualifications include expertise in automation frameworks like Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG, and experience working with RESTful APIs and backend services. Familiarity with Git-based version control systems and a solid grasp of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices are key. Experience with AI-powered engineering tools is highly preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are vital for success in this role.
