In this Senior Technical Test Engineer role, you will spearhead our test automation efforts, significantly contributing to overall software quality.

This position focuses on driving test automation initiatives to ensure high-quality software delivery. You will play a key part in leveraging automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the testing lifecycle, aligning with Agile development practices.

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for both UI and API testing. Create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with business requirements. Build, maintain, and enhance reusable automation frameworks adhering to industry best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation, environments, and test execution. Review automation scripts and execution results to ensure adherence to standards. Utilize AI-assisted tools to enhance requirement analysis, test design, and automation development. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Document defects, test results, and project status updates clearly. Drive continuous improvements in automation practices and testing processes. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Exhibit professionalism, ownership, and a proactive approach to delivering quality software.

Requires 3–5 years of experience in the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Possess strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress for UI automation. Demonstrate solid experience in API testing and automation using frameworks like Playwright API, Karate, or Rest Assured. Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks. Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript is essential; Java experience is required, and Python is a plus. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and coding best practices. Expertise in automation frameworks such as Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG. Experience working with RESTful APIs and backend service testing. Familiarity with Git-based version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket. Good understanding of STLC, Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and DevOps practices. Knowledge of AI-assisted Software Testing and its application in QA productivity. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
