This position involves leading product and program initiatives across various Amazon teams. The focus is on ensuring the most critical selection is available to customers. You will be instrumental in building frameworks for gathering requirements from global business teams, analyzing impact, and driving data-informed decisions. We are on a mission to make every conceivable product available on Amazon.
In this capacity, you will drive complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion. This includes defining product vision and strategy, crafting user stories, and researching suitable technical solutions.
You will collaborate closely with software development teams to deliver high-quality solutions, providing guidance on architecture, design, and priorities. Effectively communicate project vision, plans, and status updates to management and key stakeholders.
Engage with diverse teams across Amazon to champion your projects and identify reusable technologies. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks, managing escalations and balancing business needs with project constraints. Maintain and distribute comprehensive project information to all relevant stakeholders.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical program management, with direct collaboration with software engineering teams, is essential. You should also possess at least 5 years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
Demonstrated experience in managing programs across cross-functional teams, including developing processes and coordinating release schedules, is required. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field is a prerequisite.
Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of experience in project management disciplines such as scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management. Experience managing projects across diverse teams, establishing sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules is also highly valued.
