Lead critical programs within Amazon's Business Data Technologies (BDT) Data Access Controls team. You will be instrumental in shaping the governance of Amazon's extensive data lake, ensuring precise data access for authorized individuals at the optimal times.

This role involves close collaboration with AWS, Amazon security, compliance teams, and various engineering groups to deploy robust governance solutions benefiting hundreds of thousands of data consumers. Your impact will be measured by your ability to drive significant outcomes through cross-organizational influence, bring structure to ambiguous environments, and deliver programs that expertly balance security with user experience.

- Oversee complex, multi-quarter programs from inception to completion, encompassing engineering, product, UX, and compliance. - Foster cross-organizational alignment with policy stewards (Privacy, InfoSec, Legal) to design and implement new compliance policies. - Manage large-scale adoption initiatives, coordinating with numerous data owner teams for data classification and governance enablement. - Collaborate with AWS service teams to develop integrated solutions. - Define and monitor program metrics to drive measurable improvements. - Proactively identify technical risks in system designs and ensure future architectural flexibility. - Establish clarity and structure in complex domains, balancing governance, technical, and user experience requirements. - Influence engineering architecture and technical trade-offs across teams without direct oversight. - Effectively communicate program status, risks, and decisions to senior leadership.

A strong foundation in technical program management is essential, with a minimum of 7 years of direct experience working with engineering teams. You should possess at least 5 years of experience in technical product or program management and a minimum of 3 years in software development. Demonstrable experience managing programs across diverse, cross-functional teams, establishing efficient processes, and coordinating release schedules is also crucial.
