Seeking a Senior Technical Lead specializing in Data Engineering. This role focuses on automating FP&A reporting and advancing AI forecasting capabilities. You will be instrumental in developing robust Python modules for data handling and integration.

This position offers a full-time engagement, requiring 4 to 6 years of professional experience. The role is based in Bengaluru, India, within the automotive sector. You will report to a Senior Technical Lead (Python).

Develop production-ready Python modules for seamless Excel ingestion, template parsing, data transformation, and consolidation. Build backend services, APIs, and Azure Functions to efficiently transfer data from Excel uploads via SharePoint/ADLS into databases for downstream reporting.

Implement detailed business rules, exception reporting, version control, and audit trails according to technical designs. Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, actively participating in code reviews. Collaborate with Data Scientists to operationalize ML models, creating inference APIs and batch scoring jobs.

Requires 4+ years of hands-on experience with Python 3.10+, including proficiency in pandas, NumPy, and object-oriented design. Essential skills include extensive experience with Excel handling libraries like openpyxl and pandas, API development using FastAPI or Flask, and Streamlit applications. Proficiency in Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) is mandatory.

Candidates must be adept at unit and integration testing with pytest, and comfortable working within Agile Scrum frameworks, utilizing JIRA or Azure Boards. Familiarity with finance concepts and ML model integration is a plus.
