Join Amazon Transportation's LMDT-DSP & LMPP Tech team as a Sr. Software Development Engineer. You will be at the forefront of revolutionizing global logistics, tackling complex challenges in worldwide transportation through innovative workflows, optimization algorithms, and machine learning.

This role involves designing and developing large-scale, distributed systems that manage millions of packages daily, ensuring efficiency and reliability across Amazon's extensive fulfillment network. Contribute to systems that move items between vendors, warehouses, and customer locations, optimizing a highly dense network of nodes.

Lead the end-to-end design and development of robust, highly available, and scalable payment solutions.

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand evolving requirements and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Uphold the team's technical excellence through rigorous design reviews and strategic technical direction.

Guide the team in adopting efficient engineering processes and tools to enhance velocity and productivity.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to both seasoned and emerging engineers within the team and the broader organization.

Possess at least five years of professional software development experience beyond internships.

Demonstrate a strong foundation in programming with at least one software programming language.

Have over five years of experience in leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including expertise in design patterns, reliability, and scaling.

Show proven experience as a mentor, tech lead, or in leading an engineering team.

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
