As a Sr Software Development Engineer - Connectivity, you will innovate and deliver high-performance, low-power, stable connectivity platforms for world-class consumer products by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include: - Designing, developing, and enhancing Wi-Fi software for Amazon's consumer products. - Optimizing Wi-Fi performance and power consumption for connectivity platforms. - Engaging with vendors to integrate Wi-Fi chipset solutions. - Collaborating with other software teams to design and deliver unique customer features on top of Wi-Fi for next-gen Amazon products. - Providing technical assistance to troubleshoot customer issues.

We are seeking a seasoned software development professional with at least 6 years of non-internship experience. Proficiency in at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as Java, C++, or C# is essential.

A strong understanding of professional software engineering best practices throughout the full development lifecycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence is required.

Essential hands-on experience includes IEEE 802.11/Wi-Fi protocols, Wi-Fi development and debugging tools (e.g., wireless sniffers, protocol analyzers), and Android/Linux development on kernel, device drivers, and frameworks. A Bachelor's degree is a prerequisite for this role.
