As a Software Development Engineer III, your primary role involves designing and constructing highly scalable, reliable, and distributed software systems. You will be accountable for end-to-end technical solutions, encompassing architecture, design, development, deployment, and operational excellence.

Collaborate closely with senior and principal engineers, as well as technical leaders, to address intricate engineering challenges. Partner with product managers, cross-functional teams, and customers to develop innovative, customer-focused solutions. Drive technical excellence and shape the organization's long-term architectural vision.

Key responsibilities include leading architectural discussions, influencing technical strategy, and building highly available, performant distributed systems. You will also collaborate across engineering, product, and business units to deliver customer-centric outcomes, continuously improve system performance, and mentor junior engineers through design and code reviews.

A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships, is required. This includes 5 years of hands-on programming in at least one software language and 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, incorporating design patterns, reliability, and scaling principles.

Demonstrated experience in mentoring, acting as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team is essential. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field is preferred.

Additionally, experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations, is highly valued. Experience in building complex software systems that have been successfully deployed to customers is also a significant advantage.
